Pier Park’s Outdoor Pool Summer 2023

Pier Pool is an outdoor pool open seasonally at Pier Park

Pier Park’s outdoor pool is a neighborhood treasure. While swimmers and sunbathers from across the City and even Columbia County come to enjoy the pool, here in St. Johns we especially appreciate it. After the closure of Columbia Pool, Pier is the only pool on this side of Interstate 5 open to the public. Of course, in Portland the summer swim season is short. Portland’s outdoor pools will be open for only 9 and one-half weeks this year.

Pier Pool Opens on Wednesday, June 21st, and will close for the season on Sunday, August 27th.

Free Swim Lessons

Free swim lesson week is June 26th – 30th. Swimmers must register in person at Pier Pool on Saturday, June 24th between 8:30 and 11:30 AM. These lessons fill quickly. Register early.

Regular Swim Lessons

All classes are 30 minutes long and are offered Monday-Friday for 2-week sessions. Swim lesson classes are limited and vary by pool. Not all levels are offered at all times. There will be four learn-to-swim sessions as follows:
