Last summer was just a taste of the music Friends of Pier Park will be bringing in 2023.
This summer, on the last Saturday of each month, beginning at 3 PM Friends of Pier Park will feature local bands in our Last Saturday Summer Concerts. Come out to enjoy music under the trees in the Pier Park meadow!
Roosevelt HS Jazz Combo

Don’t miss out on seeing and supporting our young local talent!
This spring, the Roosevelt Jazz Band took 3rd Place at the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival at the University of Idaho, one of the biggest festivals west of the Mississippi.
There were 17 schools in the top division and Roosevelt’s score of 97 fell less than a point of the 1st and 2nd place schools (97.75 and 97.65). Featured schools were from Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Canada, Montana, and even Ohio.
Takohachi
Sat., July 29th, 3 PM
Takohachi is Portland’s traditional Japanese dance and drum ensemble featuring drums, flutes, and much more. This concert will be an experience under the towering Douglas firs of Pier Park.
Glitterfox
Sat., August 26th, 3 PM
Named one of Portland’s best new bands by Willamette Week in 2022 and winner of the 2023 High Sierra Music Festival Band Competition, Glitterfox is a Portland, OR-based indie folk band led by married couple Solange Igoa and Andrea Walker with Eric Stalker and Blaine Heinonen on bass and drums.
Come out for a dancing good time!
