Saturday October 7th, University of Portland business students came out to Pier Park and volunteered to help beautify the park. They participated in several different activities including but not limited to mulching, painting, spreading gravel, and picking up limbs. With nearly 100 students volunteering, you could see improvements to the park within hours. Students and volunteers also had access to coffee and treats generously donated by both Starbucks and New Seasons, along with snacks provided by the university.
Friends of Pier Park along with various community members are grateful for all the hard work these students and volunteers dedicated to the park. It is through the efforts of volunteers that the park can maintain it’s presence in the community. Thank you to our students and volunteers! We look forward to working with them again in the future.
